Following the implications from the previous post on Wisdom – key to Gainful Living, we had to fall back on the decision we made a few years prior, but never acted on. Moving to an accommodation that was closer to the workplace and although the amount was almost three times the previous one, the effects were instantaneous.
We moved to an area that is ten to fifteen minutes away from my workplace and our children’s school.
The roads leading to and from the accommodation were in good condition.
We get home early enough and with enough strength to do so many other productive things.
The car lasts longer before it requires the attention of my auto mechanic.
The stress level due to traffic jam has been greatly reduced for my wife I.
The bond between my wife, the kids and myself were re-established. Now, we have the opportunity to drive them to school and back. They also have the opportunity to share their experiences at school and we are able to discover any negative external influence from their peers early enough.
This implies that; when you are stressed out, it impacts negatively on other areas of your life. When this happens, your productivity level will be very low and your health will not be spared, which subsequently will cut your life short. This is because your immune system would have been weakened and you become susceptible to other ailments. The wisdom therefore is to see beyond the financial implications and see other intangible, yet critical factors to a productive and successful living.
