The sincerity of your heart towards people and your job will ultimately grant you favourable sail in life.
I once knew an employee that was committed to his job functions in the organisation where he worked. There was a time the organisation embarked on a project and since he was an engineer, he was asked to work with the consultants employed to ensure the success of the project. As the project progressed, the employee discovered that the organisation was unnecessarily wasting money acquiring the wrong kind of equipment due to the proposal presented by the Consultant.
The employee reported his findings to the Senior Management of the organisation, but the Consultant prevailed over the Senior Management and was able to convince them that he was saving the organisation a sizable amount of money. All the professional advices made by the staff were ignored and the project team went ahead to spend eight figures in purchasing the equipment based on the consultant’s recommendations. The employee was practically ridiculed because tasks of this nature were within his jurisdiction.
Barely a year and few months later, practically all the equipment developed one fault or the other. They all had to be replaced within two years and unfortunately for the organisation, it ended up spending more than twice the amount it would have spent if the advice of the staff had been followed. The employee that was ridiculed eventually had the final say because they came to ask for his advice that was earlier rejected.
